Arian Alani aka “Ari” - Guilty Plea - July 15, 1:30 p.m. - Sentencing Hearing
The four remaining defendants:
Zoila Michele Estrada aka “Zoila Michelle Marquez” - Trial Date - July 21
Caseya Chanel Brown aka “Mom” - Guilty Plea - August 10 - Sentencing Hearing
Tomas Marques-Ruis aka “El Cafecito” - Trial Date - October 27, 2026

Cases Competed
Gilberto Marquez - Sentenced by the court - Incarcerated at the federal prison located in Lewisberg, Pennsylvania. The court ordered the defendant/inmate to serve the following term of imprisonment: 5 year(s) 8 month(s). Scheduled release date 09/18/2028 (which includes time served). Not eligible for for parole.
1st to plea guilty in Cooper’s case now sentenced and incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution in Lewisburg, PA.

Gilberto Marzuez is currently incarcerated at NER - Lewisburg FCI and is scheduled for release on September 18, 2028.

Sentencing Date | Postponed!
We just received word today that Arian Alani, who plead guilty for the death of Cooper, that is sentencing date of March 30 has now been postponed. The court informed us that all other matters with the five others who have been indicted have to be completed before Alani can be sentenced.
The sentencing hearing for defendant(s), ARIAN ALANI, has been set for July 13, 2026 01:30 PM at Hearing Location for the Western Division, United States Courthouse, 350 W. 1st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012 before Judge Michael Fitzgerald. You are welcome to attend this proceeding; however, unless you have received a subpoena, your attendance is not required by the Court. We are all very disappointed as this is a huge let down but….our country and every citizen has the right of due process.
